Backstage at Valerie Tolosa

One of my favorite regulars, Valerie Tolosa asked me to shoot backstage at her AW09 Collection Launch @ Piano Room on Tuesday night.

I love shooting backstage, it's when the models are not in 'photo' mode, or they are just to busy to give a shit about me, so I just roam around with my camera and take candid pics.

It was a bit rushed at this show, as I set up a shooting area and shot all 24 looks while the girls were preparing. I'll put some of those shots up soon. As much of the collection is velvet, and I used a crushed velvet background, it has a rather 80s romantic feel to it.

I can't wait till this range comes out. It's darker and sharper than her previous floral feminine looks.
